I've stayed several times at this location. This time was not good. To controll the heat we had to just cut it off. So you had heat or no heat. Toliet paper was left laying on bathroom floor instead of on hanger. You could feel a bad vibration in the floor which was very annoying. I could not beleive how much this hotel had changed in such a short period of time!
Room was very, very dirty. A very rotten peach was under the desk. Woman in lobby was complaining of bed bugs!!!
Convenent to the Fairgrounds where our activities took place.
Housekeeping staff was very noisy. Did not show consideration to guest that wantedd to rest later into the morning. Even with a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. There was no elevator for transporting luggage to upper floors. No service of assistance for the handicapped.
You can smell stale smoke the soonest you walked into the lobby, and in the staircase. The hallway to the room had a wet and stale smoke smell to it. The sheets looked dingy, and I was not sure if the spread has been washed. I wish it would save breakfast during the week starting at 0500 am for all the working travelers.
The exterior lighting was awful, looked like it might even be closed and we arrived around 9. the feeling was as if the room was not as clean as it could be even though it looked clean, felt dirty.
The staff gave us a new room without question when our 1st room had dirty bedding. There was plenty of ice in the ice machine (people were filling trash bags of ice in the 100 degree plus weather and there was still some left for us), the clientele was not nasty which is a big plus. Bathroom was clean. It was a decent value at such a low price point.. Good for a night's stay and then back on the road. It's no hampton inn so get over it. I've seen much worse.
We had to switch rooms immediately. Bedding had what we think is a spilled drink on it. God only knows. Staff courteously gave us a new room with no question. The back parking lot had a weird odor. The a/c filters looked to never have been cleaned. The breakfast was good but the room it was served in was tiny so any time more than 1 person was getting food it was awkward. The side entrance door did not seem secured. I don't know if they locked it after a certain hour.
Location, at the interstate exit.
Breakfast was minimal. Outside door was not secure.
Cleanliness and comfort of the rooms.
Continental breakfast was limited, and location had few options for dining.
Was convenient to the highway. Level of room furnishing and service good. Just a stopover between Charlottesville and Gettysburg.
Rooms still smell faintly of cigarettes.
it was fairly clean but not everywhere
old worn out furniture, bed bath room was redone very poorly tub didn't drain tv was awful, air conditioner was stuck on 60f it was bad no more super 8's for us
Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff.
Breakfast offered nothing I wanted to eat. Coffee so-so, artificial creamer, no whole milk.
Liked having frig & microwave in room. Parking was good.
Outlets didn't work, breakfast not good
Nothing it was horrific and I've never stayed in a hotel as bad as this one. If I wasn't so tired I would've left. The fire alarm went off for no reason and the cleaning staff if you want to call them that walkied on us without even knocking. It was smelly ,it was dingy ,it was dark. They should definitely close this place down or fix it up. Never again!
Staff was nice.
It was ok we did not have an extra blanket when we asked and there was some mix up how long we were staying and had problems with the key but overall not too bad.
The bathroom was clean
The room was clean however nothing left but smoking room and the room was so permeated with cigarette smoke we could hardly stand it. Had to sleep all night with the window open just to breathe. Will never settle for a smoking room again.
